Only Looking For The ‘Good’ Stuff
If we’re only looking for what we consider to be the ‘good stuff’ – often strange words from people with strange names 🙂 – we are being carried away by the exotic; we’ve lost the plot, and so we have nothing to work with.
Our true reality is already the good stuff.
We are, at this moment, unenlightened. To become enlightened, all we have to realise is what it is that’s stopping us from becoming enlightened. We don’t follow the light; we are the light. Once we realise this, we no longer have to follow the ‘good’. The Buddha was good, but he still said, “Test it for yourself.”
No one ever became enlightened by meditating.
They became enlightened by dropping the meditation.
Enlightenment is never what you think.
(If the Buddha said, “Do not believe my words; test them for yourself”, then do the same for everything you hear or read.)
