Happiness And Suffering = No Difference
When there is no difference between happiness and suffering,
we have actuated the view.
The ‘view’ is pure consciousness; we simply attend to whatever presents itself in our presence. When we focus, pay attention, are mindful, are in the moment now, rest in pure consciousness, there is neither happiness nor suffering. That judgement comes a moment after, when we revert to type.
When we say ‘attend to’, we mean heal.
There is no time to admire what we have done
as there is the next moment – the next patient – to attend to,
thus maintaining the continuity of contented confidence.
