Sophisticated Thinking
Sophisticated thinking
is the ability to analyse one’s mind.
It’s what the Buddhas taught.
Sophisticated thinking is knowing one’s own mind; how it work, and why.
It is aware of its thoughts and thinking patterns.
It sees how division comes about.
It is compassionate when seeing its own mistakes.
It knows that its thoughts are not always to be trusted.
It is aware of emotions.
It takes responsibility for the things that are under its control.
It know the difference between short-term desires, and long-term desires.
It accepts that it cannot control everything.
It knows the difference between what is real, and what seems to be real.
It knows the relationship between absolute and relative realities.
It knows that the seemingly real is a perfect teacher for the real.
Sophisticated thinking is not about being clever.
It’s about understanding.
