FINDING CONFIDENCE IN OUR PATH

Finding Confidence In Our Path

If we don’t agree with a narrative, are we disloyal or treacherous? Are we domestic terrorists or hate criminals? This is how psycho-babble gibberish creates division, and is intent on destroying our clarity of mind by causing doubt.

We may follow a spiritual leader, but find that we do not totally agree with the form the teachings take – the culture of ritualisation. The essence of the teaching may be sound, but the interpretation may not fit into ordinary life. This can happen to the extent that we no longer live in our culture, but adopt another’s.

We are sewing with a two-headed needle if we follow others’ confusion-path rather than our own confusion-path 🙂 In reality, our practical-path is freeing any confusion about our original essence.

People who are easily upset lack confidence, and this shows in their nano-aggression. True confidence is natural empathy, understanding why people are the way they are.

The balanced picture is the middle way, letting go of like and dislike.

APPRECIATING OUR STUPIDITY

Appreciating Our Stupidity

Appreciate: recognise the full worth. Be grateful for something. Understand a situation fully, along with the full implications.

Basing our existence on whatever we are told, without knowing why, is mere belief. Stupidity is underestimating how much stupidity there is in the world. The reference library of this stupidity is the ego-librarian’s store; the memories in the mind are our reference books.

In appreciating the mind’s stupidity,
consciousness recognises that ego is our teacher and our protector.
Consciousness questions assumptions.

Otherwise, we are just lemmings –
unthinkingly joining a mass movement
in a headlong rush to constant destruction,
which is the blueprint for the next incarnation – the next moment.

If we do not stop to look and see,
every incarnation will lead to constant strife.

This is the very reason to break out of mass confusion
to realise our true nature and enlightened reality.

Then every incarnation, every moment, will lead to the next realisation.

TRUTH BEYOND BELIEF

Truth Beyond Belief

I keep on about belief because it is not direct experience; it’s borrowed, it’s second-hand. We only know when we have direct experience of a subject for ourselves.

This world bombards us with ‘information’ – so much so that we think we know, but all information is others’ experience – or bias. Even Tibetan Buddhism’s bias is partly to keep that culture alive outside its country of origin, and also to share experience.

An example that information is borrowed:
My wife and I attended an academy of art. The teachers would say, “That is too long” or “The angle is wrong” and this was extremely helpful, if we wanted to improve our drawing ability. But it was never our piece of work: it is only ours when we do it on our own.

The investigation of consciousness is like that.
“Do not take anyone’s word for the truth of consciousness;
see it for yourself”.

Actually, the realisation is that
we cannot see or find consciousness, as we are it!
😀

That is the truth beyond belief.
The evidence lies in meditation.

RELATIVE AND ULTIMATE SATISFACTION

Relative And Ultimate Satisfaction

Relative satisfaction is either in the completion of something,
or in others’ recognition of having completed something
– we’ve tried to the best of our ability.

Ultimate satisfaction is;
“Is that all!?”
“What have I been doing?”
“That is it!”
“Wow.”

It is the ‘I’, the mind, that wants satisfaction.
Pure consciousness is content just to be.

BECOMING JUDGEMENTAL

Becoming Judgemental

We all need to judge whether a thing is beneficial or harmful but, in being fixated and obsessed about those judgements, we become judgemental. One is momentary, while the other is our programme for life.

If we do not like someone or something, or a group of people, we have to look behind whatever caused that situation. This stands to reason, doesn’t it? Because a small inner circle controls a society, it doesn’t mean everyone agrees.

If we “throw the baby out with the bath water”,
we lose the good parts as well as the bad,
because we rejected it as a whole, instead of just removing what is bad.

Before we are judgemental about others,
we should look at our own motivations.

“You hypocrite!
First take the speck out of your own eye,
and then you will see clearly
to remove the speck from others’ eyes.”
– Matthew 7.5

SHARING KNOWLEDGE WITH DISSENTERS

Sharing Knowledge With Dissenters

Sharing knowledge with those who have a closed mind is idiotic,
as it will end in conflict.

Belief closes minds and destroys unity:
truth and belief are not amicable bedfellows.

“Do not give dogs what is holy;
do not throw your pearls before swine.
If you do, they may trample them under their feet,
and then turn and tear you to pieces…”
– Matthew 7.5

it’s about transcending emotions.

BELIEF REINFORCES ‘I’

Belief Reinforces ‘I’

The more we adhere to belief,
the more we compound an illusion,
engendering either insecurity or pride.

In pure consciousness, there is neither insecurity nor pride. There is nothing to defend in the reality of empty cognisance. Pure consciousness is not a belief; the evidence for this is recognised in meditation.

Belief is groupthink, and has no empathy as it has taken sides.
Pure consciousness is empathetic as it has no sides.

WHEN THE CHICKENS COME HOME TO ROOST

When The Chickens Come Home To Roost

“When the chickens come home to roost”
and
“the cat is out of the bag”,
all will be revealed.

Why the chickens were not at home, and why the cat was in the bag in the first place are things the media wants us to worry about. When we are panicked into flight, fight or freeze, we lose our reasoning power.

Reasoning returns when we see clearly.
What is revealed?

There was no chicken.
There was no cat.
It was all an illusion for us to believe in.

THEORISTS DO NOT TASTE

Theorists Do Not Taste

Theories make ‘something’ into ‘something extraordinary’.
The moment of actual taste is silent recognition.

Dharma and compassion can either be experienced,
or just remain something in a book.

Direct experience is silent recognition – there are no theories.
In theory, there is no taste – just imagination.

The rawness of life is life.
The comforter of life is sentimentality.

ARTIFICIAL AND ORIGINAL INTELLIGENCE

Artificial And Original Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has obscured original intelligence.

While we are concerned about artificial intelligence dominating our lives, we don’t notice that we’ve already been programmed with beliefs that have been placed in our minds for thousands of years.

As there is nothing new under the sun, so there is nothing new in our minds. We may invent things, but these are only the continuation of previous inventions or copies of nature.

Our original intelligence is pure consciousness.

It is the knowingness before some thing is known,
where there is no invention, merely clarification.

SO FEW GET IT

So Few Get It

So few realise their true reality that never changes. Most think consciousness is something that they have, and that’s it; they vaguely assume that there is more, but that it’s unknowable. This is precisely what belief does – it keeps reality a secret, so that we live a mundane life of hopes and fears. We may excel in whatever we do, and can recite verbatim, but it’s all hot air.

Scholars debate endlessly about the ‘verbatim’ – exactly the same words as were used originally – but they entirely miss the point of direct experience and compassion.

When we acknowledge that consciousness is our reality, we realise that this essence, which leads to enlightenment, is the purpose of life.

So few get it,
as enlightenment is meaningless to most.

It’s not a mystery.

We are non-calculating, compassionate consciousness
with nothing more to gain.

HOW NOT TO MEDITATE

How Not To Meditate

Although meditation is yoga or union,
it isn’t an exercise class where we do something special on a cushion 🙂

Meditation is barely resting in awareness.
It is the unity or oneness of consciousness in an environment.

There is no meditator.
Meditation is totally unsophisticated, completely free of fashionable ideas and culture.

Perfect meditation is dropping the meditation.

KARMA IS COGNITIVE BIAS

Karma Is Cognitive Bias

Karma is cognitive bias:
more of the same,
“recommended for you” by your echo chamber.

In body, speech and mind, our lives become formulaic, and that reinforces attitude and behaviour. We conform to a type, creating our personal dungeon of predictable experiences.

In the emptiness of meditation, there is no karma, no attitude.
Meditation is release from the suffering of repetition.
Meditation is the spontaneous moment now.

Cognitive bias is erroneous thinking that occurs when people interpret information that affects their decisions and judgments, creating a subjective reality that dictates repetitive behaviour.

Algorithm recommendations build more data similar to previous viewing.

An echo chamber is an environment where a person only encounters information or opinions that reflect and reinforce their own opinions.

We are drowning in repetition.
Acknowledging this is the path to enlightenment.

CONFUSION: SEWING WITH A TWO-HEADED NEEDLE

Confusion: Sewing With A Two-Headed Needle

Confusion: From Latin confundere ‘mingle together’. To make (someone) bewildered or perplexed; to identify wrongly; to mistake.

Adopting two or more concepts (such as enlightenment and salvation) confuses our mind, as these are mixed metaphors that we are trying to bring together.

Enlightenment:  awareness, freeing a person from the cycle of rebirth
Salvation:  deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ

This ‘mingling together’ is trying to travel along our path and someone else’s at the same time, and splits resolution. Ourpath is personal conflicts that have to be resolved in order to be able to realise our true essence of pure consciousness, which is non-duality.

Following another’s path is duality.

Confusion can also be called ‘conflation’. The result of conflating concepts may give rise to fallacies and ambiguity. Conflation is the merging of two or more sets of information, texts, ideas or opinions into one, often misunderstood as being equal, treating two similar but disparate concepts as the same: ‘salvation’ and ‘enlightenment’ could be two such concepts.

Again, this is exactly why the Buddha said,
“Do not take my word as truth; test it for yourself.”

Following others will deny your reality.

CATCHING OUR DEMONS

Catching Our Demons

Others’ demons are easier to spot.
😀

The world is full of demons. Our demons are our opinions, likes and dislikes, gathered from what we have read and heard from other opinionated demons – but whatever is said to be out there can never deny that which sees whatever is out there.

That which sees is not an opinion,
but can have many names.

Information that we have read or heard is exoteric information; predictable banter for the many. Direct spontaneous experience is esoteric, unique in its clarity.

Truth is that spontaneous.
Demons merely repeat themselves.

Our demons are our teacher.
No demons, no realisation.

CONSCIOUSNESS – THE ESSENCE OF MIND

Consciousness – The Essence Of Mind

Consciousness – the essence of mind.
And the essence of consciousness is emptiness.

Mind is memories (software) which affect the brain (hardware) and our attitude.

Whether the mind moves or is still, the essence of consciousness is always present. When consciousness looks into itself, it finds nothing there; that moment is pure consciousness, and mind becomes empty.

This is freedom from concepts and suffering.
It can be recalled when needed,
in order to revive empathy.

It’s not a matter of walking around ‘being empty’: it is being unsullied clarity. We may not have all the answers, but we can adapt, rather than adopt.

We are consciousness living in an ethereal and material world.
That is the middle way.

IS THERE A SCRIPT?

Is There A Script?

Is there a script?
Certainly: the simple laws of the universe.
Those who do not know these laws live in confusion.

Good and evil both have the script, the formula, the principle, according to universal laws of attraction, repulsion and inertia. In human terms, this is desire, aversion and ignorance. In animal terms, it’s fight, flight and freeze.

But these same laws are also enlightened wisdoms. This is what evil can never understand as it has nothing to gain from emptiness – the pure state of being.

The evil rules by desire, fear and ignorance.
The enlightened expose the essence of desire, fear and ignorance
as emptiness, cognisance and compassion.

Our essence is pure, unsullied emptiness but, through desire, this becomes filled with expectations.
Our nature is cognisant but, because of desire, we become fearful and so, judgemental.
Our heart is compassionate but, through becoming judgemental, we lack compassion.

Know the script, know a fruitful life.
Know half the script, know suffering.

It all depends on whether we want to gain something, or understand it.

INFLUENCERS

Influencers

When a new project came along, as a designer, the first thing we would do is NOT look at the client’s previous design as that would have influenced us, and caused little traumas and blockages.

This is what happens in our daily life. We come across a situation, memories arise, and we have no chance of seeing the situation afresh. We’ve already been influenced. These memories are why we re-act the way we do. Actually, in the subconscious, our brain is more brand-aware than we are 🙂

If we become stuck in ‘our’ memories, we reignitesd the same traumas time after time, using the same language that upholds these concepts.

To evolve and expand our understanding, we need to clear the mind of bias – even if it worked before. Whatever we don’t like becomes our ‘enemy’ and may, in fact, enlighten us, turning our ideas upside down. There are levels of understanding; each uses the same words, but the meaning changes.

Being human is learning how to deal with the unexpected;
to risk new experiences,
even when they don’t fit into our preconceptions.

THE PURPOSE OF MEDITATION

The Purpose Of Meditation

Meditation is simply being aware of thoughts and emotions that control us, running around in the mind and diverting our attention.

When we become aware of the awareness that is observing these thoughts, this is meditation.
It is, however, a duality; me and the thoughts.

In the moment of recognition, the mind is clear and workable.
When we forget pure consciousness, however, the mind returns to its old routine of being predictable.

How to drop the meditation, and arrive at non-duality?

Once we understand that this awareness has always been present, we realise it’s what we actually are; pure consciousness.
It never changes.
It can never not be pure.

Having realised pure consciousness, thoughts are a reminder that they are being observed.
Pure consciousness and thought are inseparable; that is non-duality.
Appearance and recognition are simultaneous.

Meditation isn’t about having no thoughts.
It’s realising that they are there, gathered from our environment. Gradually, with practice, thought-interference drops away by itself.

Until enlightenment, thought-interruption will plague us, but now it isn’t an enemy; it’s our teacher.
Poison becomes medicine.

Meditation is simply being aware of thoughts disturbing our mind. These thoughts are our persona which masks a parasite that relies on consciousness’s lack of awareness (and this world is an expert at creating personas 🙂 ) We are responsible for our thoughts when they no longer add to our persona.

There is no observer,
merely observation.

THE TRUTH OF TRUTH

The Truth Of Truth

We are each our own guru-teacher.
Relying on another’s path may inspire us,
but we go alone.

This isn’t about making up a path,
and using it as an excuse to justify
our selfish behaviour.

It is genuinely taking ourself apart,
with the help of our self.
Our self exposes all that we cling to.
We’re all original recipes.

That’s why our path is unique.
Self is always with us
until the moment of enlightenment.

Many won’t want to hear this,
as guru worship is encouraged.
It’s all about letting go and seeing,
and letting go.

This breathes new life into life.
Truth isn’t something to know.
The truth of truth is pure knowingness;
the circle of no circumference.

A GLASS OF WATER: THE PROBLEM IS THE GLASS

A Glass Of Water: The Problem Is The Glass

Realisation is the taste:
the glass is merely a vehicle.

We want the water, but we get hung up about the type of glass the water comes in 🙂 It is the water we need to satisfy our thirst. The glass is the religion, tradition, or culture.

Water is freely common, but culture makes the glass expensive and elaborate. The quenching of our thirst is in the drinking. All we need is the experience. We needn’t be concerned about the glass; if we are, we will remain dry.

The realisation of truth is in tasting, ie suck-it-and-see. If we’re hung up on the container, we become hung up on what is known, rather than acknowledging plain knowing itself.

Understanding that everything is impermanent is not a religion or a philosophy.
Nothing will give us 100% satisfaction, and desire does not lead to happiness.
Everything is a projection, an opinion, not truly there.

We do not have to join anything.
We don’t have to be stressed that we don’t know enough,
or pay to realise our true nature.

The world is mad.
We are not going to change that.
Our practice is not joining it.

Be humble.
Just see.

Once we have satisfied our thirst,
we can put down the glass.

WHERE DID WE COME FROM?

Where Did We Come From?

Where did we come from?
Was there a beginning?

It is suggested that we are infinite beings,
so how are we what we are now?

We all go through cycles of existence, even in this life time, being influenced in some way, both personally and collectively. Are there periods of mass influence? Even though we may have good intentions, we succumb to others’ ways, going round in circles. We find this in any job or career, and even in religions, we fall into line.

Was there a time when good influences were more abundant? Was there a time, place or dimension when all were enlightened? It seems to suggest this in the Yugas – the Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age and now, the Iron Age.

What happened to us?
We fell into dis-repute/dis-grace through desire and fascination, slowly building up a self-image and a feeling of separation. We will return to grace and higher standing when we realise what we have done (karmic load) and what we can become (re-cognise/re-know our enlightened essence)

It’s the best answer I can come up with at this moment 🙂 At the very least, it has a fearless sense of direction, completion, degradation, confusion, and back to completion. The Iron Age is just a dimming of the light, but we can still see clearly because we look more!

The Dharma is conjecture.
We put together the pieces of the puzzle through experience
in order to complete the picture.

If we don’t like the picture,
we can choose another puzzle.

We’re so old that we are timeless …
or
we just came out of the muddy swamp.
But why were we in the mud?
😀

A major problem we have is too many ideas, too many traditions, too many loose wires. We need to see how these loose ideas can be tied together on the esoteric level to achieve a sense of positive direction.

IS ENLIGHTENMENT EXAGGERATED?

Is Enlightenment Exaggerated?

Enlightenment is based on historical stories – truly exhilarating stories – but they do not happen now. We cannot positively say they did or didn’t happen; the point is that there are gurus and lamas who are said to be enlightened but, when they talk, it is plain, straightforward wisdom, and nothing supernatural.

We hear people, including monks and nuns, asking questions about ‘crazy wisdom’, which suggests that they don’t know what crazy wisdom is. Crazy wisdom is merely a shock-treatment that provokes a moment of emptiness. That shock could be a gentle suggestion, and the mind goes silent. Been there, had that happen … it’s a glimpse into realisation of emptiness. It lacks a point … pointless or purposeless.

The end of a powerful piece of music leaves us in a state of silence … until some fool claps, which exaggerates the appreciation, and everyone joins in! 😀 A piece of ‘art’ – or even someone speaking about the Dharma – can do the same thing but, again, we needn’t exaggerate either the person or the experience.

Personal silence is the emptiness of adulteration, which is the action of making something poorer in quality by the addition of another substance (from the Latin adulterat, meaning ‘corrupted’).

Personal silence is the emptiness of adulteration:
if enlightenment is indeed that simple,
it allows us to be happy right now,
without waiting for a fanfare in the future.

We are enlightened right now.

“You can’t say that!”
Why not?
🙂

DHARMA IS KNOWLEDGE OF KNOWING

Dharma Is Knowledge Of Knowing

The world is divided up into
those who do not want to know,
those who think they know,
those who want to know,
and those who know.

Those who do not want to know or think they know
are the most hostile.

Those who want to know, or know, ask questions.

This video by Dr John Campbell shows two Australian senators, one asking questions and the other explaining. Neither are hostile or silent. The second senator, Gerard Rennick, speaks in great detail at 7.30 minutes, about the MNRA vaccine and how it actually works. Basically, he is saying that nano particles are so small that they flow from the capillaries to the main blood supply that can affect all the organs in the body (the vaccine is supposed to stay within the muscle which is why aspirating an injection is so important to check that it isn’t entering a vein).

Notice how empty the chamber is. The question is why? What do they know? Why the silence?

This covers all approaches to any subject,
and is how the world is run or ruined.

CONSCIOUS BIAS CREATES THE BIASED UNCONSCIOUS

Conscious Bias Creates The Biased Unconscious

We follow too easily like sheep, and take for granted that whatever we are told is true. Acquiring partial information, we misunderstand and assume that this partial information is right. The result is that we lose any sense of right and wrong, or of completeness and incompleteness.

If we are learning, we don’t come to any conclusion until we have put the information into practice, and then we know. In making a decision based on incomplete information, we have to live with the consequences, and so do all those around us. 🙂

We cannot blame others who misunderstand.
It’s a tough world to live in.

Because we hear or read something doesn’t mean it – or we – are correct. As long as we remain open-minded, we cannot go wrong, as it means we have possibilities. The truth is in the seeing, rather than whatever is seen, read or heard.

This is why the most important advice I have ever read is,
“Do not take my word for the truth; test it for yourself.”
– Gautama Buddha.

Put it into practice and see.

If we just believe,
we are not seeing the complete, unbiased truth that is seeing.

That is pure consciousness.

It knows human frailty of hope, fear and indifference

KARMA IS NOT FATE

Karma Is Not Fate

Fate: that which has been spoken, making it inevitable that something will happen.
Karma: the sum of a person’s previous actions, either beneficial or harmful.

Fate suggests that results cannot be changed.
Karma suggests that the result can be changed.

Fate is a feeling that change cannot take place. The way we speak and act causes the same scenarios, and so we go round in circles.
Karma can be seen as the effects of our past coming into play now, but we can use this behaviour as our direct teacher and guide to enlightenment.

There are many levels of understanding,
depending on our realisation and our confusion.

Karma is both our confusion and our teacher
– and our path to enlightenment.

Are we a karmic positive person or a fateful negative person?

THE GREAT LEAP FORWARD … INTO HELL

The Great Leap Forward … Into Hell

We have to be mindful of the type of world in which we are living.
The constant reset of consciousness.

The only thing that changes is the illusion,
maintaining perfect totalitarian communism.

Totalitarianism is a form of government that attempts to assert total control over the lives of its citizens. It is characterised by strong central rule that attempts to control and direct all aspects of individual life through coercion and repression.

“The Great Reset Initiative is an economic recovery plan drawn up by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative’s stated aim is to facilitate rebuilding from the global COVID-19 crisis in a way which prioritises sustainable development.” – WEF

Recovery?
Nothing has changed except the illusion.

To save the planet?
Nature is much more powerful than human creativities.
Nature adapts.

The plan to step forward: utilise a situation, create a cock-up that actually hasn’t changed anything except the illusion, and use the results as an excuse for the great totalitarian leap forward. If we want to see an illusion at work, this is it. We are supposed to leave our brains, free will, free speech, free spirit at the door.

is a video by Dr John Campbell (who is a doctor and scientist) showing how information at the top can skew what we, at the bottom, have to obey. The only thing that changes is the illusion. John Campbell’s journey has taken him from belief in the system to disbelief; past videos show the evidence for why he changed his mind.

MAKING THE MOST OUT OF LIFE

Making The Most Out Of Life

Life is consciousness, and consciousness is natural goodness. Making the most out of consciousness is realising that we are this pure, good spirit, rather than spending our life trying to look good.

Nature dazzles with sensuality, and colour, smell, taste, sound, touch bring us to our senses. The seasons are a welcomed change as they follow naturally. We needn’t exaggerate this, however: simple appreciation will do, otherwise we turn nature – and our life – into a ‘fascinating’ subject.

Exaggeration is a distraction. If we hold on to exaggerations, we merely fill up time and space. It’s ironic that religions exaggerate talk about good spirit, while actually separating us; exaggeration breeds extremism, and extremism wants to dominate.

There is a difference between wanting to look good
and having a good look.

A good spirit unites us
– and we don’t have to be religious to appreciate a good spirit.

MEMORIES ARE SUBCONSCIOUS BIAS

Memories Are Subconscious Bias

Our decisions are based on memories. If our memories are partial or influenced, our thinking will be tainted. Ideas are planted into a society through the media, and that is our normal. We become one-dimensional vertical thinkers, assuming this because of that; vertical thinking is how most of us see the world, looking for a defined answer and avoiding questioning.

The hallmark of vertical thinking is, “This is it!”
The opposite is lateral thinking, asking “What or why is it?”

There is more to having a good look;
there is having a good look.

NIHILISM – MISUNDERSTANDING OBJECTIVENESS

  Nihilism – Misunderstanding Objectiveness

Nihilism: the belief that nothing in the world has a real existence, and that life is meaningless.

We must be careful when we repeat text on negation (known as Madhyamika) that cancels everything out and finds nothing left. This can be misunderstood and can lead to extremism, bordering on nihilism.

There is no self as that is a designation for a collection of ideas, but there is that which is perfectly conscious. Although everything is said to be emptiness, still there is a consciousness aware of emptiness.

If we go too far in negating, we may find that we lack empathy, thinking others do not exist and therefore ignoring their suffering.

We can refute the existence of external phenomena and a perceiving mind since both are equally lacking in inherent existence, being mere concepts/illusions – but what is it that is refuting? 🙂

Be happy to be alive, and wish the same for others.
With support, we will become enlightened.

Death of a moment is another new beginning.

A LACK OF EMPATHY

A Lack Of Empathy

If we take a side, we jump to conclusions and therefore lack empathy as we’re not looking behind the story. We become so partial (unbalanced) and divided (competitive) that empathy for others goes out of the window. In our hearts, we want to agree, but our mind fears. As long as we remain unenlightened, our views will depend on the sort of background we come from, and it is this that separates us. It’s natural.

We have all experienced every emotion possible, and understanding that gives rise to empathy – or it should do. Everyone needs support, and to be served by those with empathy and confidence.

Interestingly, when we look up the word ‘serve’ in the dictionary, it comes from the Latin servus – ‘slave’, and means a willingness to serve or please.

“We who are strong bear with the shortcomings of the weak,
and not to please ourselves.”
– Romans 15.1

A lack of confidence or empathy cannot serve anyone.

LOOK AT THE SIGNS – THE ENDING OF THE KALI YUGA

Look At The Signs – The Ending Of The Kali Yuga

Light overcomes dark.
Goodness overcomes evil.
Wisdom overcomes conformity.

It is obvious that we live in dark, manipulated times,
with crimes against humanity
through the policing of body, speech and mind.
More and more people are waking up to this phenomenon.

Anger becomes more prevalent.
Anger is mirror-like wisdom.

With the constant realisation
that absolute truth and distractions are a unity,
we become buddhas.

Don’t believe the words, read the signs …
… externally and internally.

THERE ARE MANY APPROACHES TO REALISING TRUTH

There Are Many Approaches To Realising Truth

There are many approaches to realising truth
– intellectual, ritual, experiential –
such that suits our temperament.

We all approach Dharma with some understanding, a process, and a feeling.
It isn’t mechanical.

Spirituality isn’t a mystery. It’s what we are; consciousness. It is belief, misunderstanding and following others blindly that makes Dharma into a religion. Consciousness isn’t unknowable; it’s logical and reasonable, and it’s that which perceives. Chanting mantras is an inspiring reminder and support.

The goal is realising that consciousness is emptiness.
It’s the pure state, free of concepts.

Dropping that realisation,
we drop any attachment.

Pure consciousness is direct seeing, without judgements. We need judgements in the practical world in order to know what is beneficial and what is harmful, but we needn’t become judgemental.
One is a momentary experience, while the other is a mind-set for life.

There are practices such as meditation which can help us, but meditation can spoil pure consciousness as meditation is merely a method to clear and settle the mind. Once clear, we let go of all meditations. That’s when non-duality is realised.

There is the form, and there is essence.
Don’t get stuck in either.

FORGETTING = KARMA = EGO = TEACHER

Forgetting = Karma = Ego = Teacher

We are born with certain individual tendencies/karma, because we forgot our true essence of pure consciousness.

Our maintenance of those tendencies/karma is ego. Ego is consciousness clinging to thoughts and concepts.

These two principles of karma and ego govern and colour everything that we encounter, and are the reason we react in the way we do.

When consciousness is aware of this combination of karmic tendencies and clinging, these become our teacher, showing us our habitual reactions and behaviour. In doing so, they become purified.

This personal teaching is our path to enlightenment.

The following is a more formal description:

There are two kinds of ignorance – co-emergent and conceptual. The presence of pure consciousness is in the moment now, but it almost immediately slips away. Co-emergent ignorance is simply to forget. Conceptual ignorance comes in the moment after forgetting, forming thought after thought and getting distracted by starting to think of something.

Forgetting is co-emergent ignorance. Thinking is conceptual ignorance. If these two were purified, we would be buddhas. As long as the co-emergent and conceptual aspects of ignorance are not purified, we remain sentient beings.

MENTALLY TORTURED, WITHOUT KNOWING IT

Mentally Tortured, Without Knowing It

This isn’t an honest world.
We are meant to see injustice.

Every sentient being is the very same essence of pure consciousness. Unfortunately, we miss this altogether by being constantly distracted by world history, which plays on our fears and insecurities.

Listening to predictive speech is excruciating.
If we lose our free spirit to conformity, we have nothing to say.

Spontaneous presence of pure consciousness is this free spirit.
The truth has always been known, but only by the few.

George Orwell’s book, “1984”, which was published in 1949, offers insights into totalitarianism, mass surveillance and repressive regimentation of people and behaviours within society. The Ministry of Truth promoted the belief that power is the most important commodity, and power over what people believe – which includes power over the past – regulates all forms of media.

Humanity has been tortured in this way for millennia.

THE CRAFT AND THE ART OF DHARMA

The Craft And The Art Of Dharma

The craft of the Dharma is studying text and going to lectures: it’s all very interesting and consuming, and we can learn to recite this and that.

But the actual Dharma is the spontaneous moment now. This is the art of living. Realisation is more to do with our countenance, our behaviour, our manner, than how scholarly we are; that is merely being crafty. 🙂

The craft is all about us.
The art is all about other.

The craft is rehearsed performance,
and shows how interesting we are.

The art is improvised, spontaneous happening
– the ability to communicate and, most important of all, listen –
and show we are interested.

Know doctrine, no communication.
No doctrine, know communication.

Craft is exoteric
– known by the many –
and is the mark of this dark age.

Art is esoteric
– realised by the few –
and will be our future world.

IS ENLIGHTENMENT SOPHISTICATED?

Is Enlightenment Sophisticated?

Sophisticated Sophism.

Sophisticated: developed to a high degree of complexity.
Sophism: a clever but false argument, to deliberately deceive.
Sophistry: a fallacious argument; a mistaken belief.

Maintaining sophistication requires a high degree of complexity.

Enlightenment is the simplest view in the universe.
It is just seeing, without judgement or comment.

What is sophisticated?
Denial.

EVIL HIDES THE TRUTH

Evil Hides The Truth

Evil hides the truth with partial truths or omissions. As long as we are coddled in our personal partial truth, we will feel cosy and comforted, relying on being looked after by our ‘betters’. Evil knows that partial truth encourages disagreement and division as we encounter others’ partial truths.

Only the complete truth of pure consciousness develops compassionate confidence
beyond disagreements.

Ascending the levels of realisation
involves uncovering the fixations inherent in partial truth.

Evil plays with words.
Truth plays with spontaneous, direct experience.

Meditation is training in impartiality.
Life is meditation in action.

INTELLIGENT DESIGN?

Intelligent Design?

Intelligent design is a belief that life, the earth and the universe are so complex that they cannot be explained by the scientific theory of evolution, and therefore must have been designed by a supernatural entity; the existence of God.

Intelligent?
How intelligent?

There are two possibilities when addressing the subject of God. One: that this is an external being. Two: that it is pure consciousness within ego/I.

What is our potential?
Belief or enlightenment?

The only people who have ever become enlightened are those who did not believe in God. If God did make humans in his own image, why haven’t more people attained God-hood? In the tradition of God, they are merely designated as a saint or prophet by others – after they die.

Throughout history, only a few have realised their true nature; they are esoteric beings. Those who only believe and hope are exoteric beings.

The laws of nature created everything: attraction, repulsion and inertia … fight, flight and freeze … desire, aversion, and ignorance … hope, fear, and indifference. It’s just these three principles or negative traps that create everything. All very clever, but lacking in wisdom of our true reality.

Intelligent design doesn’t indicate wisdom.
Just look at world history.
🙂

The wisdom is knowing that the essence of these three negative principles is emptiness, cognisance and compassion. In other words, pure compassionate consciousness.

Belief makes people emotional.
Realisation makes people enlightened.

Enlightenment = constant realisation of ultimate truth that negates belief.

A HIGHER PURPOSE IS UNKNOWABLE?

A Higher Purpose Is Unknowable?

What a confused world we live in.

Some think that there is a higher purpose which is “unknowable”.
What is the point of having a higher purpose that’s unknowable?! 🙂

There are so many blogs like this … so many videos, so many books, so many views, it’s hard to make sense out of it all. The important questions is, “Does this information genuintely add quality to our life, or is it just ‘interesting’?”

If we do not come to some conclusion, we will remain con-clue-sion-less 🙂 Coming to a conclusion doesn’t mean this is fixed; it is our conclusion so far. If this conclusion, however, arrives at “unknowable”, that is the end of our story – not anyone else’s – and any enrichment to our life is negated.

To say that a higher purpose is “unknowable” views others’ ability to realise the enlightened state with contempt. With that attitude, a person is regarding themselves as higher than a Buddha, an enlightened being, while subconsciously, they are trying to pull others down by refusing to acknowledge the enlightened potential in us all.

Is our mental universe finite or infinite?

THE ART OF HAPPENING

The Art Of Happening

Happening: improvised or spontaneous.
It’s what we do with Dharma.

Spontaneous: occurring without premeditation
or external stimulus, having an open, natural,
 and uninhibited manner.
It’s what we do with Dharma.

We are the pure heart of consciousness.
Consciousness isn’t something organised.

Thank goodness.
